As you might already know, thestudentjob.com is the brainchild of a 2nd year student at King’s College London and two other of our company’s senior staffers also currently attend the university. Less than 6 months since our launch, the institution itself has given Jack the chance to show off the website to his fellow Business Management students at a lecture this morning.

At the lecture, we had the chance to reflect on our recent accomplishments, including our exponential growth in both student membership, approaching the 8,500-mark, and the amount of employers currently working with us. Our recent social strategy, which has allowed two great events, The London 2012 Olympics and BRIT Awards, to recruit students quickly and effectively, caught the attention of both the students and the lecturer.
Entrepreneurship has become a valid career path for more people than ever before, with an ever-increasing amount of startups being successful at hiring employees and raising capital. Indeed, this is a very exciting time to live in and we’re right at the center of it. Jack left a last final for all aspiring entrepreneurs out there:
“Being an entrepreneur can be a lonely road, you need the courage to take risk and to make tough decisions – persistence is key, think of something that motivates you, as you’ll need it on this long journey ahead.”
This is just the last one of the many times we’ve been on featured in the media. Just recently, we were featured on Your Hidden Potential and StuConnect, along with a video interview on FidgitBox being published next Monday. If you want to join the revolution, we’re hiring two bloggers and a Social Media Intern. If you’re passionate and think critically, you might be perfect for any of these jobs.
